Great white shark research
8th June, 2015
Now my rig research has finished for the season, I get to go to Stewart Island as part of a NIWA and Department of Conservation research program to better understand the great white sharks of Stewart Island.
Being the final year of this research program we are only filming great white sharks to help estimate their population numbers. The photo is of two white sharks that were swimming around our research vessel.
The reseach program is talked about by Alison Ballance on Radio NZ
